This short route will offer you a nice walk in the city's historical center through picturesque passages, in combination with visits to notorious monuments and museums.

Starting from the Rimondi fountain (1627) and continuing towards the west you meet the "Arbatzoglou" street, one of the most beautiful streets of the old city. There you can see numerous samples of local architecture (gateways, kiosks, ect).

Next, you can visit the Museum of Submarine Life, while a little further, between the streets "Arbatzoglou" and "N. Fokas", you can visit the Temple of Mary Magdalene -also known as "the lady of the Angels"- dating back to the Venetian period.

After crossing the "Long Passage" ("N.Fokas" street)- a characteristic sample of Venetian street planning- continue to the street "Vernados" where valuable monuments are located, such as the doorframe on the street number 30, at the mansion of the Clodio family.

Next, you will encounter the Historical and Folklore Museum that exhibits a rich collection. A bit further, you will see a unique wooden door (Vernados street 10) noteworthy for its carved decoration. At the end of the street, you will visit the Mosque of Gazi Housein Pasha or "Neratzes" (today a conservatory) where the highest minaret of the city is located. Finally, you will pass by the "Petyhaki" plateau to end up at the Rimondi fountain.
